A Mixtape For You #12: Dengue Fever

Even if they are not able to come and perform in Turkey, your fellow musicians and DJs from around the world, who have been here before have messages for you. Although the cultural life in country came to some sort of a halt, know that their music and thoughts are with us. Music is unity; it heals, gives hope, recognises no boundaries and is universal. So we start sharing their messages and the mixtapes they prepared especially for you. In hopes and dreaming of beautiful days…

A Mixtape For You #12: Dengue Fever

Ethan on ‘This Life Makes Me Wonder’:
Quite often I find myself trying to comprehend how life started. Not just life, but everything else out there that’s floating around. When I read that there are over a 100 billion galaxies, I wonder, did they just start one day from nothing?  Have they  always existed in some shape or form and how is that possible?  Sometimes I think that humans are not supposed to be able to comprehend it all. We are all just clinging to a tiny speck of dirt, staring into our cell phones totally unaware of this vast infinity.  For me, hearing this song, makes me want to love the people that are important to me because you never know what’s coming tomorrow.

Zac on “Watussi”:
I hear a giant space ark going in search of a peaceful planet to colonize.

David on “Let’s Dance”:
In times of trouble, dancing  and to love can help carry us through.

David on “Summer”:
It’s beautiful and subtlety hopeful without being saccharin or overly filled with expectation
